Woodforest Debit Card Fraud Alerts are designed to notify you when unusual activity is detected on your Woodforest Debit Card. Woodforest Debit Card Fraud Alerts may include an SMS text message to your mobile device, or an email to the primary address we have on file. We will ask you to respond to the alert letting us know if you authorized the transaction in question.

If your debit card is identified as having potentially fraudulent activity we may block your card and a Woodforest Debit Card Fraud Alert may be sent to you to verify the suspicious transaction. If no response is received or we are unable to send a notification via email or SMS, an agent may attempt to contact you by phone in order to verify the transaction. Your debit card may remain blocked until you verify the transaction.

If you have push notifications disabled, have opted-out of SMS Woodforest Debit Card Fraud Alerts, or do not have a valid email address on file, a Woodforest Debit Card Fraud Specialist may attempt to contact you by phone to verify the transaction.

Woodforest Debit Card Fraud Email Alerts will be sent from CardAlert@woodforest.com.
Woodforest Debit Card Fraud Push Alerts will be sent to the mobile device registered with your Woodforest Mobile Banking app.
When a customer confirms that fraudulent transactions have occurred, the confirmation will prompt notice to Card Fraud Services so the status of the card can be changed to Lost/Stolen so that no further unauthorized transactions can be processed. The customer will then need to dispute the unauthorized transactions and order a new debit card by visiting their local branch or by calling 1-877-968-7962.

No. The only card that was affected was the blocked card. There is no need to close other cards on the account (unless otherwise noted on account).
If a card is closed due to unauthorized activity, and the customer requests a new debit card, the Debit Card Setup Fee will be automatically waived (provided a dispute has been filed for unauthorized activity). The Debit Card Setup Fee is also automatically waived if a card was issued because of a merchant data compromised card reissue, or because Card Fraud Services has confirmed there is fraudulent activity on the card.
